We’re excited to announce an upcoming Dune: Imperium Tournament, hosted in collaboration with Tablo Board Game Cafe!

Whether you're a seasoned strategist or a rising contender, this is your chance to prove your mastery of deck-building, worker placement, and political intrigue in the world of Arrakis.

🏆 Tournament Format

The tournament will be played across 3 rounds, with players competing in groups of 4:

  • Round 1: 4 tables of 4 players

  • Round 2: Players are regrouped based on performance (1st & 2nd together, 3rd & 4th together)

  • Round 3: Same pairing system based on standings

Each round lasts approximately 120 minutes.

🔢 Scoring System

  • 1st place: 3 points

  • 2nd place: 2 points

  • 3rd place: 1 point

  • 4th place: 0 points

At the end of all 3 rounds, the player with the highest total points is crowned the winner. In the case of a tie, the winner of the top table in round 3 is the winner. Tie breakers after that will be based on standard Dune: Imperium rules. (Victory Points > Spice > Solari > Water > Garrisoned Troops)

📜 Game Rules & Tournament Setup

To ensure consistency across all tables, the following rules will apply:

🎮 Game Setup

  • The tournament will use base Dune: Imperium (no expansions)

  • Player order is randomly determined at the start of each round

👤 Leader Selection

  • After player order is set, 6 leaders are revealed per table

  • Players choose leaders in reverse player order

  • During selection:

    • Players may see the Imperium row

    • The top Intrigue card remains hidden

🎨 Player Colors

To keep things simple and consistent:

  • 1st player → Blue

  • 2nd player → Green

  • 3rd player → Red

  • 4th player → Yellow

⏱ End Game Conditions

The game ends according to standard rules:

  • When the final conflict card is resolved, OR

  • When a player reaches 10 or more victory points

🏁 Determining the Winner (Per Table)

  • The player with the most victory points wins the table

If there is a tie, official tie-breakers are used in this order:

  1. Victory Points

  2. Spice

  3. Solari

  4. Water

  5. Troops in garrison
